Threading a Sewing Machine Needle

Being able to see to thread the small eye of a needle, has always been one of the most challenging tasks when sewing.  It becomes even more frustrating if the thread color has to be changed frequently like a needlework project.  I have been purchasing and using the inexpensive Dritz Needle Threaders for decades.  They are easily some of the most necessary items in my sewing basket and craft organizers.

IMG_6205aI was recently making a costume when I realized how much I actually needed a sewing machine needle threader too.

Out of desperation, I grabbed my Dritz Needle Threader, reshaped the wire thread holder and, viola’, the job was done quickly.

From now on, I will always keep a supply of Dritz Needle Threaders in my sewing machine cabinet.

Long before my moment of crisis, companies realized the need for sewing machine threaders.  Today, there are several options available for purchase.

Dritz needle threaders have been my go-to for as long as I can remember. I just can’t imagine not having one handy. I didn’t even realize there were other options. Now, I have to go check them out. One can never have too many needle threaders!
